The cherries are harvested from May until the end of June. Wassum Ranch covers all aspects of the farm life, from developing orchards to producing the best possible crop.
Schletewitz Family Farms
Schletewitz Family Farms is located in Sanger where they grow a variety of fruits including grapes, apricots, apples, and plums. When choosing which fruit to grow, it’s important to them to keep in mind not only the quality and seasonality of the fruit but also what they would enjoy eating.
Schletewitz Family Farms is run by third generation farmers and have been farming on the same land their grandparents bought in 1932. As farmers, they believe in creating a complete food system that will support their family and others families in the community.

Mellows Nursery and Farms
Farming in Coyote Valley, and Santa Clara County amongst Silicon Valley, Mellows Nursery and Farms grows fruits, vegetables, and field and greenhouse flowers. They do not spray our vegetables or field flowers and grow as is required by our customers’ interests. All of their harvesting is done by hand as our crops are ready to be picked.
Mellows Nursery and Farms attends about twenty markets during the summer and believe that the markets are the only way agriculture will survive in an urban area. To them, the best part of attending a market is seeing people happy with the product quality and variety and knowing that they appreciate all the hard work and effort that goes into farming.
