Family fun under the stars happens Thursday nights this summer
One special Friday night event - August 31 - Zombie-O-Rama IV!
Take advantage of San Jose's warm, summer nights and enjoy a movie under the star-studded sky with your friends.
Pre-show entertainment is often as much fun as the feature!
Explore one of four distinct downtown neighborhoods (San Pedro Square, Historic District, SoFA District and St. James Park) and meet the people and businesses that give downtown its character.
Pre-show fun starts at 6 p.m. (except for Zombie-O-Rama, which starts at 4 p.m.). Movies begin at dusk. BYOC (or B) - Bring Your own Chair or Blanket (high-backed chairs are OK). Stop by a restaurant and pick up your food - "to go" of course. Beer and wine need to be purchased on site.

Thursday, June 14 – Hook (1991/PG) – starring Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, and Julia Roberts. Pre-movie: Broadway San Jose “Peter Pan” and pirate themed contests.
Join the St. James Historic Distict and District 3 Councilmember Sam Liccardo for a night of family fun in the Northeast corner of St. James Park.

Thursday, July 19 – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966/R) - Starring Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef. Pre-movie: Clint Eastwood and Western-themed BINGO
Thursday, August 16 – Sixteen Candles (1984/PG) – starring Anthony Michael Hall, Molly Ringwald. Pre-movie: Radio Alice “Sweet 16 Celebration” = 80s prom and dance contests.

Thursday, July 26 – The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975/R) - starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick. Pre-movie: The Bawdy Caste performance group performing prior to - and during - the movie, including a group "Time Warp" dance.
Thursday, August 23 – Singin’ In The Rain (1952/G) – starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds. Pre-movie: Broadway San Jose group participation dancing/lessons.
SoFA District Home of Zombie-O-Rama IV on Friday, Aug. 31. An arts and entertainment hub and ground zero for the growing late night gallery crawl, South First Fridays. The SoFA District is rich with options to stimulate one's creativity.
Friday, August 31 – Shaun of the Dead (2004/R) – starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
Pre-movie: Zombie-O-Rama IV events* – make-up artists at SLG Art & Boutiki; pre- and post-movie zombie crawl; young zombie parade; costume contests; live bands and more.
*Last year’s zombie-o-rama event attractd more than 3,000 people and included 10 zombie crawl sites throughout downtown.

Parking: $5 parking after 6 p.m. is available in CITY OF SAN JOSE facilities, such as the garages at Third Street near Santa Clara Street, Market and San Pedro streets, San Carlos and Second or Third streets and Fourth and San Fernando streets. Public lots near the Starlight Cinema venues also offer plentiful parking.
