Education

EducationDowntown San Jose and its surrounding neighborhoods are home to private and public K-12 schools, a law school and San Jose State University, which has more than 30,000 students and 4,000 faculty and staff. Silicon Valley firms employ more graduates from San Jose State than any other university in the nation.

The university is also linked to downtown by operating a unique joint city-university library system. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Library operates daily, providing downtown residents with access to academic resources.
