2007 Downtown Doors - on view through May 2009
The San Jose Downtown Foundation’s “Downtown Doors” project in 2007 covered 17 double- and triple-panel doors outside the Fairmont San Jose, Pavilion building, San Jose Repertory Theatre and Camera 12 Cinemas.
“The images demonstrate the diverse perspectives of San Jose residents,” said Jane Przybysz, a judge and member of the Downtown Foundation board. “The students also used their artistry to integrate their work into the urban feel of downtown.”
The artists, their teachers and families, private donors and the property owners and managers who allowed the artwork attended a reception at the Silicon Valley Capital Club. The artists received Adobe Creative Suite 3 design software, including latest versions of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat from Adobe Systems at the ceremony.
